Jackson Spring is located in the southern extent of the Ponce de Leon Springs State Recreation Area, just south of I-10. The spring is surrounded by the low floodplain of Sandy Creek and can be difficult to locate under average to high stage levels. Jackson Spring can be found at the head of a 400-foot run in between the I-10 rest area and Sandy Creek. The vent is currently covered with sediments; however, discharge can still be observed issuing from several distinct sand boil groups.
