Strategic Water Management Plan

 

On November 30, 2010, the Governing Board substituted an annual Strategic Plan for the requirement to develop a District Water Management Plan.   Pursuant to section 373.036, Florida Statutes, the Strategic Water Management Plan (SWMP) describes the responsibilities of the District, as well as the agency’s objectives, strategies, and success criteria.  This plan focuses on current strategies – those activities the District plans to undertake in the near term to accomplish its vision:  to protect and manage the water resources of northwest Florida in a sustainable manner for the continued welfare of its residents and natural systems.  The plan defines the District’s current strategic priorities, implementation activities, financial resources, and performance measures.
