Regional Water Supply Plan for Region V
(Franklin and Gulf Counties)
The Regional Water Supply Plan (RWSP) for Franklin and Gulf counties (Region V) was developed by the Northwest Florida Water Management District to address current and future water supply issues in the two-county region. The RWSP identifies current water sources, current and future water demands within the region, and alternative water supply sources that will meet and exceed the region's water needs through the 2025-planning horizon. The RWSP also includes opportunities for funding assistance to implement alternative water supply projects.
The Northwest Florida Water Management District Governing Board approved the RWSP on January 25, 2007. The next update for this plan is scheduled for 2012. Any questions or comments should be directed to Ron Bartel, Director, Division of Resource Management, at (850) 539-5999, fax (850) 539-2777, or via e-mail at Ron.Bartel@nwfwmd.state.fl.us.
