Florida Springs Initiative
FY2001-2002 Final Report
The statewide Florida Springs Initiative is charged with assessing and
protecting Florida's springs. During the first year of the initiative
(FY01-02), the Northwest Florida Water Management District provided various
data collection and interpretation activities associated with first-magnitude
springs. Springs investigated included the St. Marks Rise, Wakulla Springs,
Spring Creek Group, Jackson Blue Spring and Gainer Springs Group. This
report provides the details of work completed under FDEP Contract GW223
during the contract period (December 2001 through June 2002).
