Water Resources Map Series 00-1
These maps depict average sodium concentrations in waters from the Floridan
Aquifer System in coastal Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties. Data
represent water quality in either the upper Floridan Aquifer (west of
the pinchout of the Bucatunna Clay confining unit) or the upper part of
the undifferentiated Floridan Aquifer System (east of the Bucatunna Clay
confining unit pinchout). Data were primarily obtained from actively utilized
public supply wells and are representative of the period 1998--2000.

Floridan Aquifer System in coastal Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties.

This map depicts historic chloride concentrations in waters from the
lower Floridan Aquifer in coastal Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties.
Data represent water quality in either the lower Floridan Aquifer (west
of the pinchout of the Bucatunna Clay confining unit) or the entire thickness
of the undifferentiated Floridan Aquifer System (east of the Bucatunna
Clay confining unit pinchout). Data were primarily obtained from publications
of the U.S. Geological Survey and represent conditions between 1973 and
1998.
